Gluckstein Lawyers: Advertising
Project
Gluckstein Lawyers approached Cubicle Fugitive to assist with the copywriting, design, and development of a refreshed print advertisement announcing a new senior counsel, Richard Halpern, joining the firm’s medical malpractice group in Canadian Lawyer magazine. By using the firm’s already established brand, Cubicle Fugitive prepared a series of different layouts featuring their curvature brand elements that complement their round logo icon, brand colours and headlines with strong bold font. We also chose to feature a quote from the lawyer on why he made the decision to join the firm and how it will benefit birth injury clients “together we make a difference”. Once the ad and copy were approved, Cubicle Fugitive went on to develop social media images to announce the new counsel on their social platforms, digital ads for the print publication’s website, as well as variations of the ad with a photo of the lawyer on his own and ones with the entire medical malpractice team.

With a refreshed print advertisement in place, the firm was looking for a subsequent ad that highlighted the firm’s knowledge and experienced team in medical malpractice and birth injury malpractice. After discussions with the firm to understand their goals and objectives for the piece and their target audience, it was decided that Cubicle Fugitive would help write an advertorial on the new senior counsel’s level of expertise in Birth Injuries. To get started, Cubicle Fugitive interviewed both Richard Halpern and Charles Gluckstein where we asked them both questions regarding medical malpractice and birth injuries such as the challenges involved, the importance of medical experts, time periods for filing a claim as well as the importance of referring birth injury cases to lawyers that specialize in that area for both the law firm and the client. Once all of the responses were gathered, Cubicle Fugitive drafted a one-page article about Gluckstein’s medical malpractice lawyer Richard Halpern in Big Names. Tiny Clients.
After building a trusted relationship with the firm, Cubicle Fugitive continues to work with the firm on other print advertisements, such as a new announcement welcoming Derek Nicholson, who is one of Ottawa’s leading Civil Trial Lawyers.
