The Law Office Management Association (TLOMA): Logo Design

With over 400 members from over 225 law firms throughout southern Ontario, TLOMA is a not-for-profit organization for law firm managers and administrators that provides significant education and support to its members. Their mission is to provide professional development and best practice opportunities to enhance the competence and professionalism of legal management professionals through learning, sharing and networking.

With a recognizable logo and name, the Association was looking to refresh their brand image without redeveloping their wordmark. The Association had grown through word-of-mouth referrals and was looking to transition their brand from an established community of legal managers, to a vibrant organization of professionals. We refreshed the brand through colour, typography, content, and the design and development of a new icon.

This dynamic and energetic graphic includes the many colours of our brand spectrum and signifies the growth, vibrancy and forward-thinking nature of our group.

While the main Association colours of black and red remained consistent, a new spectrum of colours was added to represent the Association’s SIGs and Annual conference. In an effort to differentiate and brand each of the SIGs, we created a colour and icon system aids in navigation of both online and print materials. To bring the entire new brand look together, we incorporated a simple line covering off all of the special interest group colours under their original wordmark.

A critical component of the new brand is our abstract graphic affectionately referred to as our ‘swoosh’. This dynamic and energetic graphic includes the many colours of our brand spectrum and signifies the growth, vibrancy and forward-thinking nature of our group. With overlapping gradients of colour we tie all the SIGs together in a unified and complementary manner.

For TLOMA’s refreshed brand we created a full brand system and helped to train the Association on how to implement and use this throughout all of their communications.
