McMaster University: Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences Website
Project
Established in 1967, the McMaster Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences (DPBN) has grown to include a multidisciplinary department focused on innovation. The department conducts clinical care and research within the university community and throughout a unique regional network of partner organizations.
Driven to be the most innovative Department of Psychiatry anywhere, the Chair and his communications team set out to design and develop a new online presence that aptly reflected their distinguished record of ingenuity, partnership with scholars, researchers, and community healthcare providers, and academic excellence, while never losing sight of the recipient of mental health and addiction services.
With a very successful program in place, the department wanted a new public-facing website that highlighted its achievements, reflected the personal nature of its work, and enabled users to find news, events, forms, guidelines, policies, and other necessary information in as few clicks as possible.
Never one to shy away from a challenge, Cubicle Fugitive set about revamping the current design and structure to create a site that is both visually appealing and highly functional. Working closely with DPBN, we built a new website with improved design and the overall organization of content, making the site more aesthetically pleasing, intuitive, responsive, and user-friendly. The end goal of the project resulted in a website that better reflects the department’s focus on innovation and pursuit of excellence in everything they do.
We provided marketing and strategy expertise, content development, and photography services, in addition to designing and developing the new website.
