Digital Health & Discovery Program: Website
Project
The Digital Health and Discovery Platform is a joint initiative of the Terry Fox Research Institute, Imagia, and their partners, and is funded by the Government of Canada. They apply state-of-the-art technology and approaches to important health research yielding improved clinical outcomes.
Having worked with the Terry Fox Research Institute in the past, the partners sought Cubicle Fugitive’s assistance to design and develop a scrolling landing page, with a very tight turnaround. In this collaboration, we wanted to create a user experience that provided pertinent information to stakeholders and demonstrated a marriage of AI technology and healthcare. It was imperative to feature bilingual content and reinforce a balance of business and not-for-profit throughout the website content and design.
Each section of the landing page was carefully crafted to cater to the end-user and connect them to the important information that they are looking for.
Our team was initially energized by their new logo. This was the inspiration for many of the finer touches on the site, including the colour palette, bullet design, and use of circles. To demonstrate the collaboration between data science and healthcare, we combined two images to create the home page banner. The black and white photos are used as a background and pop against the pastel-coloured circles which encourages a user to scroll down the page. Each section of the landing page was carefully crafted to cater to the end-user and connect them to the important information that they are looking for.
The result is a sleek and modern website born from the team’s goals of connecting technology and healthcare. This scrolling landing page was created as a phased project and we are currently working with the Digital Health and Discovery team on a full website including additional inside pages and interlinking modules. Stay tuned!
