McMaster University: Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology

The McMaster Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) is a multidisciplinary department with over 90 geographic full-time and part-time clinical and adjunct faculty members located at two affiliated teaching hospitals, community teaching hospitals, and other distributed education sites. Founded upon the value of innovation, they are committed to excellence in educational, basic science, and clinical research programs with a vision to become a leading Academic Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Canada.

The McMaster Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) wanted a new public-facing website based on the strong McMaster brand that highlights its world-class research and education offerings.

OBGYN’s current website was rich in detail with multiple layers of information. It also had a robust directory for faculty and administrators and an active event calendar, all of which would be maintained internally by department administrative staff.

With this in mind, we developed a website that would accommodate the wealth of information while being easy for users to navigate. Building the site on a dynamic and intuitive content management system (CMS) allows administrators to update the site with new content, department members, events, photos, and videos with ease.
