Cavalluzzo LLP: Website 2019
Project
Forward thinking law firm Cavalluzzo LLP is dedicated to advancing the causes of working people and social justice. They are at the forefront of labour and employment law and ensure their online brand remains the same.
With a desire to stay at the top of their game, the firm looked to refresh their website in 2019. Already built upon the enterprise Sitefinity CMS platform and having rebranded in 2017, we focused on upgrading to the newest version and developing any new functionality the firm desired. We also freshened up the overall look and feel of the website to be more indicative of current user experiences including a longer scrolling layout, additional feeds and highlights of the firm’s most popular information and resources, extra imagery to entice readers, and quick jumping off points for all key content on the website.
We developed the new design to be as accessible and useful for clients and referrals as it is for search engines to find.
Having built out the firm’s resources over the years, Cavalluzzo offers a wealth of information for unions, labourers, and employees. We designed a toggle resources section that showcases the firm’s latest blogs, news, events, publications, and cases on the home page. This is dynamically created and automatically updated as the firm adds new content to their modules. This same functionality was incorporated throughout the website as users are easily able to see and access all related content on any page within the website. Each of the firm’s practice area pages include auto-updated key contacts, and feeds of related practices, lawyers, cases, news, events, and publications. All of these are maintained with a simple click of the button in the backend CMS.
With an understanding that a lawyer bio is the most accessed pieced of information on any law firm website, let alone Cavalluzzo’s, we created a quick “find a lawyer” search tool on the home page. We created robust and interlinked new mini-lawyer microsites and incorporated updated photography of the firm’s team. All of the pertinent information can be easily found upon load of the page and toggle through related content tabs.
One of the main enhancements we focused on was the improvement to the firm’s Class Action module. A burgeoning area of the focus for the firm, we wanted to give prominence to both ongoing and resolved class actions. We designed new visually appealing thumbnails to each matter with robust information pages and custom forms for each. Much like all interrelated content on the website, we designed and developed a module custom for Cavalluzzo’s needs that could be updated and managed internally going forward.
The redesign and development of the website was focused on updating the website’s mobile responsiveness and AODA accessibility. We developed the new design to be as accessible and useful for clients and referrals as it is for search engines to find. We continue to work with Cavalluzzo for any desired functionality upgrades, SEO enhancements, or marketing initiatives.
