Cavalluzzo LLP: Website 2014
Project
As part of our rebrand of Cavalluzzo, the firm wanted a dramatic departure to signal their new name, youthful culture, and commitment to the future of the firm. The design was to be strong, modern, and sharp—just like them. With a new logo and colours in place, we developed all new stationery and signage for the firm, as well as revamped their website and intranet.
Having worked with Cavalluzzo LLP on their previous blue and gold Sitefinity website in 2008, they reached out to Cubicle Fugitive to redesign and redevelop their newest website. Launching with a “New name. New look. New colour. Same great firm” approach, we worked with Cavalluzzo to redesign and write new content from the ground up. Having built websites for hundreds of law firms, we understood that content feeds on the home page performed better and deepened a user’s journey to find relevant information.

We developed custom people, practices, industries, news, events, publications, and class actions modules for the new website. As with the styles of the time, we wanted a clean and compact look. The firm’s awards and highlights took centre stage in the main banners and we ensured all content appeared upon load of the home page. Unlike other firms, Cavalluzzo positioned themselves outside of the core and certainly away from Bay St. With a focus on labour and employment law for unions and employees, the firm’s offices are found in an exquisite redbrick building on Bathurst. With exposed walls and beams, lots of natural wood and light, and a rooftop patio for staff, Cavalluzzo had selected a modern and unique yellow-green for their walls. Inspired by their defiance of traditional law firm design, this colour served as the new anchor for the brand. Working with acclaimed photographer Ian Brown, we captured a series of images of the firm and its people which are showcased throughout the new website.
As part of the website rebrand project, we incorporated the firm’s new logo, colours and branded diamond seamlessly, art-directed photography, edited lawyer bios, built the site onto the newest version of their Sitefinity content management system and designed a responsive site for phones and tablets.
