Progressive Contractors Association: Brand Positioning and Strategy
Project
The Progressive Contractors Association of Canada (PCA) approached Cubicle Fugitive to develop a brand strategy and positioning messaging that would help the association stand out from its competitors in the construction industry and guide PCA in communicating the association’s value to current and potential members, as well as industry stakeholders.
Our approach involved an extensive review of PCA’s marketing, advertising, and business collateral, along with internal and external communications materials. We also held discussions with key stakeholders within the association, its members, and industry and government representatives to gain a comprehensive understanding of PCA’s market position and value within the industry.
Through our research and analysis, we successfully identified PCA’s unique competitive advantage and developed a clear brand position and client value proposition that distinguishes the association in the market.
PCA is an established association representing contractors who employ progressively unionized workforces across Canada. PCA plays a crucial role in connecting its members to government advocacy, industry opportunities, and essential resources. The association’s role is to empower its members by helping them connect to a larger network of like-minded professionals, construction industry decision-makers, and affiliated businesses. As part of this work, PCA provides advocacy and member relations services, actively working to level the playing field for contractors in the construction industry. Their staff serves as influential voices, advocating for and educating on the value of their members and the progressive labour model.
Based on the findings, Cubicle Fugitive provided PCA with comprehensive recommendations, empowering the association to make informed decisions aligned with its brand strategy and communicate its value in a clear tone of voice. The recommendations were paired with new brand messaging that was implemented across their new website.
