SV Law: Website 2013
Project
SV Law is a full-service law firm that provides clients with high-quality, professional and personal legal advice in the areas of Business Law, Civil Litigation, Condominium Law, Criminal Law, Employment Law, Family Law, Land Development, Municipal Law, Real Estate Law, and Wills and Estates Law. In addition to their legal expertise, the firm is known for its strong commitment to community leadership in Guelph and its surrounding areas.
Through discussions with the managing partners and website committee at SV Law, the firm wanted to redesign their website to showcase their new brand image and upgrade their existing website to a Content Management System (CMS) so that it is flexible, intuitive and customizable. They also wanted the software to address the particular requirements of a legal environment, allowing in-house administrators to effortlessly update content such as bios, practice areas, news, blogs, and other resources (articles, events, careers, etc.).
To help improve the firm’s search engine rankings, Cubicle Fugitive provided the firm with a list of additional sub-practices for each area of law that were either mentioned at a meeting or through our keyword research and discovery process.
Cubicle Fugitive designed a clean, professional, and easy to navigate website that embodied the firm’s new brand by incorporating their new colour palette, updating imagery that was used in other marketing material, and highlighting key messages developed by their previous marketing firm. To help differentiate the firm from others, the content also needed to have a unified message that speaks directly to clients and demonstrates their ability to aim higher, their demand for excellence within their team, and their precision in dealing with all legal matters. Ideally making it less about SV Law and more about how the lawyers’ experience and the firm’s expertise can help both new and established clients.
Other enhancements to the firm’s new website included a new lawyer database that housed individual biographies which were segmented into sections so that visitors to the site can find the information they want quickly and easily. To help improve the firm’s search engine rankings, Cubicle Fugitive provided the firm with a list of additional sub-practices for each area of law that were either mentioned at a meeting or through our keyword research and discovery process. In addition to the static content, Cubicle Fugitive also recommended the incorporation of a firm blog to provide fresh, relevant, and timely content which in turn will cultivate more business online.
Last but not least, the website was also built with a responsive ability to adjust to tablet or mobile devices. At the time, 9% of the firm’s traffic was accessing the site from their mobile devices, which was a 159% increase compared to the previous year.
